Mandiant Consulting ensures the long-term success of our clients by providing talented, passionate, and specialized strategic consulting, threat intelligence, and incident management consulting expertise. We are looking for motivated and experienced Manager within our Global Government team to lead a team of highly skilled Cyber Security professionals in a varied portfolio of specialized and tailored engagements.
Mandiant’s goal is to help our customers assess, design, and build confidence about their readiness to combat advanced threats. The successful candidate will have a strong network of contacts across key Government entities, possess solid consulting skills and have a focus on developing and following opportunities. This role will require a multi-skilled methodical well-organized individual, who is adept at both business development and process management. A qualified candidate will be prepared to work with our Government customers in delivery of high value, mission focused consulting engagements. The position is mid-management and will report directly to the Managing Director, Global Government / Special Projects.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a team lead and subject matter expert (SME) leading a team of multi-discipline cyber professionals in the development of comprehensive cyber security programs for key Government entities in the United States and globally.
- Act as a process manager, supporting multiple concurrent development initiatives with contributors both internal and external to the Consulting business unit. Maintain oversight on project statuses and update change and process management systems as appropriate.
- Engage with our government customers to inform, assess, and deliver multi-lateral, national, and inter- and intra-agency cyber security strategies, frameworks and policies within the cyber domain with a keen knowledge of geo-political and cultural influences.
- Provide guidance on development of relevant strategic offerings; collaborate and integrate these offerings with the broader Global Government function and wider Mandiant organization as required.
- Evaluate Client needs, client concerns, and identify leads and coordinate the development of tailored cyber programs to address key mission objectives.
- Manage relationships with Sales leadership, including identifying consulting opportunities, driving new business through established contacts, and using technical acumen to assist the local delivery team.
- Oversee and manage implementation improvements to Mandiant’s business processes, methodologies, and client communication methods.
- Operate as a client advocate to ensure all program and delivery issues are resolved and the client experience is enhanced through precise communications and a continual feedback cycle.
- Build and lead your team as required, displaying effective management and leadership skills while growing and mentoring your team members
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Poly required·
- Demonstrated experience of strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and execute in a methodical and disciplined manner. Engage with internal stakeholders whilst enabling a multi-disciplined and multi-regional workforce.
- Experience in performing engagement enablement including scoping engagements, structuring customized engagements based on client’s request, proposal writing, and drafting statements of work.
- Proven experience working with Sales leadership & external contacts to drive Consulting revenue generation.
- Exceptional written and oral communications skills; proven experience articulating cyber security related concepts to all audiences, including senior executives and cyber operations specialists.
- Proven ability to successfully set and manage expectations, establish rapport with clients especially at senior levels including C-Level executives.
Past Experiences may include
- Advising government clients on security programs such as incident response, cyber threat intelligence, security operations, data protection and security architecture.
- Assessing and developing cyber security solutions and programs across multiple security domains including operational mission support.
- Assessing and building information security programs for large enterprise organizations.
- Engaged in developing/operationalizing critical tools used in security event analysis, incident response, computer forensics, malware analysis, or other areas of security operations and foundational cyber security and/or cyber intelligence skills.
- Delivery of large/complex security transformation engagements leveraging formal project management skills in design, staffing, planning, tracking, status reporting, and team management.
- Demonstrable experience in working with decision makers across government entities
- Willingness to travel for business, for 10-20% of the time
