We're seeking an experienced Senior Systems and Security Engineer to join our technology operations and security team, and take ownership and responsibility for the management and monitoring of all installed systems and technology infrastructure. This role will report to the Head of Information Security. 

You will… 

• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure


• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools


• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability


• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies


• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks


• Participate in the design of information and operational support systems


• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support


• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution. 

Requirements: 

• 5+ years hands-on experience platform management (Mac, Linux, or combination thereof) at scale.


• Extensive knowledge with workstation management tooling such as Jamf/Datto/Kandji etc.


• Proficient in modern configuration management tooling (PowerShell DSC) and package managers (Munki, Chocolatey)


• Extensive experience with Mobile Device Management


• Extensive experience with Google Workspace and Mimecast for email security


• Experience with managing Slack for the enterprise


• Jira administration experience is a huge plus


• Extensive knowledge of information security such as device encryption, anti-virus tooling, digital certificates, security policies etc.


• Experience with Carbon Black or Crowdstrike


• Familiarity with networking fundamentals such as DNS, DHCP, firewall, VPN, and PKI


• Proven strong analytical and troubleshooting skills


• Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box)


• Experience with monitoring systems


• Experience with ITIL tools – ServiceNow or Freshservice.

Currently, all corporate employees are working remotely from home until it is deemed safe to return to our offices by local and state health officials. We have offices located in New York City (NY) and San Mateo (CA), and three fulfillment centers in New Jersey, Nevada and Texas. Fully remote candidates will be considered for certain categories of roles.
