Listing Description

We are looking for an experienced Security Engineer that will join our team.
*Has to be living in Maryland, Virginia, or DC area

Duties
  • Provide IT network security risk management guidance to the organization.
  • Design, implement, manage, monitor, and troubleshoot network security defense and monitoring tools, including configuration management, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and monitoring systems and tools.
  • Proactively identify, define, and implement new security controls as necessary.
  • Provide analysis of emerging threats as needed.
  • Clearly and effectively document and communicate both existing and proposed solutions and configurations, including producing data flow diagrams, logical diagrams, physical diagrams, and standard operating procedure documents as required.
  • Work as a liaison between Information Security and IT to ensure proper implementation of security controls, standards and policies.
  • Develop, enhance and execute operational security processes, including incident and event handling.

    • Requirements
  • 5+ years of progressive technical expertise in security is required.
  • Experience with Firewall management, we application firewalls, web application security, and troubleshoot.
  • Experience with languages python and shell scripts.
  • Experience with AWS security is a plus.
