About the Role

As a leader in streaming live video on a global scale, averaging 31 million daily viewers with more than 1.3 trillion minutes of live streamed video watched in 2021, making sure that we can secure video delivery for our customers is critically important.

As Director of Security at IVS, you will report to the VP of Engineering for IVS and lead a small but impactful team to improve our security posture. You will work with business and technical leaders inside Twitch and AWS to help solve cross organizational security concerns. To do this, you will partner with the software, hardware, and network engineers across the IVS organization to improve threat detection, edge protection, incident response, and vulnerability management. You will directly influence and control the roadmap and long-term direction of IVS.

You can work remotely anywhere in the US.

You Will:

• Lead the process and measure the security risk for the IVS organization


• Create requirements to lead secure improvements in both infrastructure and app-sec security technologies


• Work with principal engineers in the organization to lead security software improvements and best practices


• Communicate with other security organizations inside Twitch and AWS and explain our risks and goals and understand their needs 

You Have:

• Great people want to work for you and you know how to hire and develop. You have worked with great security and software engineers and business leaders


• You have demonstrated expertise in multiple security domains with a focus on infrastructure and network security and application security


• 3+ years in managing teams


• Experience with large-scale edge or cloud services


• Technically dive deep on application or infrastructure security work

• Security work on hardware and network infrastructure

The base pay range for this position in Colorado, Connecticut, Washington and New Jersey is $220,100 - $297,700(hr/yr) and in New York City is $242,100 - $327,500(hr/yr). Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
