PayPal is looking for a passionate, self-driven member of our cyber forensics team. The position entails managing forensics policies and procedures, being an incident response SME, helping with details incident response processes in a forensically sound manner, managing forensics training and capabilities to different team members, managing internal and external communication patterns, improving internal workflows and managing KPI analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead forensics investigations using virtual forensics team members and 3rd party vendors

• Liaise with forensics vendors, PayPal legal and investigation teams, and the IT organization.

• Be a focal point for forensics knowledge and processes

• Assist in creation of forensic methodologies with clear and concise deliverables

• Work with different organizations to implement security products and process

• Propose additional components and techniques that could be used to proactively detect and prevent malicious activity

• Maintain forensics security metrics

Job Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a forensics or security related field.

• Advanced understanding of tools and processes used in security incident detection and handling

• Must have solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, web infrastructure applications, and scripting (Perl, Python, etc.)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate technical concepts, impacts, risks, mitigations, and remediation guidance.

• Must be a team oriented but self-directed, a continual learner with a passion for asking big questions and creating solutions to find answers

• Must be able to leave ego at the door and act with one team behaviors
