The Opportunity

As our lead Security & IT Writer, you will be an integral part of taking our editorial program to the next level. We’re on a mission to create industry changing content that is useful, inspiring, and actionable for Apple-focused IT and security professionals. Our ideal candidate will know how to and be excited to write compelling, technically accurate articles and content for an audience interested in Apple IT and security, technology, and devices. In particular, we are seeking expertise in writing about topics pertaining to Apple security such as vulnerability management, endpoint detection and response, device management and security, compliance, and visibility. You will have access to our team’s industry-leading subject matter experts and a variety of creative resources to assist you in bringing your ideas and stories to life. If you’re looking to join an innovative and forward-thinking team that is changing the way Apple IT and Security get their news, we’d love to hear from you. This role will be based in the Miami metro area and will include 1-2 days in office.

Day to Day
  • Depending on the week’s needs, your day may include:
  • Serve as the team’s lead Security & IT writer
  • Come up with and pitch timely, relevant and innovative story ideas
  • Collaborate with Kandji’s in-house subject matter experts to identify interesting and new topics that will interest and engage Apple IT and security professionals 
  • Ideate and execute story ideas related to Apple device security and management, vulnerability management, endpoint detection and response, visibility, and compliance.
  • Interview and work with internal and external subject matter experts as sources for articles and other content formats and types
  • Keep your thumb on the pulse of the latest breaking news in Apple IT & Security
  • Identify opportunities and ideas to create innovative content and help bring them to life
  • Support creation, curation, and writing for our publication newsletter
  • Serve as backup editor, ensuring we’re meeting editorial standards and guidelines
  • On occasion we may also ask for your help in writing and supporting the creation of other content types as needed: Ebooks, company and product updates, customer interview stories and more

  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Good working knowledge of Apple, security, IT, and/or SaaS technologies
  • Background in technology journalism and/or content marketing
  • Top-notch writing, with demonstrated experience creating news coverage, articles, case studies, and other written content pieces
  • Ability to generate creative topic ideas/angles quickly
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Dedication to meeting deadlines
  • Strong communication skills

  • Nice to haves, but not required
  • Knowledge of Apple IT administration specifically
  • Experience in B2B content marketing
  • Social media writing and/or posting of content
  • Copy editing
  • Image editing
