Are you an infrastructure security specialist who wants to take your career to the next level?  RTI has a sky-is-the-limit opportunity in the area of IT information security as our Sr. Security Administrator.  At the core, the Sr. Security Administrator is an infrastructure security specialist with enterprise experience. As an opportunity, the Sr. Security Administrator can or aspires to be more involved and influential in business decisions, workflows, and processes.  You have primary responsibility and oversight of RTI’s infrastructure security framework, posture, and audit towards relevant industry standards and certifications.


Responsibilities:



  • Align RTI’s security framework and posture with industry best practices.

  • Partner with business leaders to proactively and preemptively anticipate security requirements and certifications to support market expansions and revenue growth.

  • Establish security programs and creation of policies, processes, and procedures to satisfy security and regulatory requirements and certifications.

  • Create and maintain audit capabilities and processes to ensure continued security and regulatory compliance.

  • Promote a security-aware culture through educational programs and other engaging avenues with our employees.

  • Perform risk assessments, create mitigation plans, and execute remediation-related activities (e.g, vulnerability assessments and remediations).

  • Be the escalation point for Tier-1 and 2 in the area of infrastructure security and compliance.

  • Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure services are implemented in ways that meet security requirements and best practices.

  • Guide partners/vendors toward the win-win relationships.

  • Own the security-related incident and problem management through resolution internally and externally.  Maintain communications with internal / external contacts during the security incident and/or problem resolution processes. 

  • Manage and evolve RTI’s security tool portfolio (e.g, SSO, 2FA, SIEM, encryption, etc.) to meet the evolving needs of the business. 

  • Participate in the change management process to ensure security compliance.

  • Research the latest industry security trends to maintain enhanced security posture.

Requirements:



  • BA/BS in a technology discipline or equivalent with 6 - 8 years of experience in infrastructure security.

  • 2 - 4 years experience in security and compliance-related certifications and audits like NIST, ISO 27001, etc.

  • Must be able to work closely with end users, understand business processes and work effectively with cross functional teams.

  • Be available off hours for scheduled system maintenance and support.

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication, customer service and organizational skills.

  • Please note pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. citizenship status.


Bonus Points:



  • Experience with any of the below technologies


    • 2FA

    • SSO

    • Server and endpoint encryption

    • Windows and Mac-based MDMs

    • Linux (all flavors)


  • Familiarity with NIST 800-171 is desired.
