We're looking for a Technical Program Manager to join our growing Agile team to coach several agile security engineering teams and support organizational programs and projects within the Security Zone.

About You
You have serious Jira skills. You have experience coaching teams on how to use Jira effectively.
You’re an excellent planner. You have worked on or facilitated small-to-medium size engineering projects with minimal guidance, including planning, scheduling, and delivering reports. Whether by nature or title, you are comfortable creating plans and organizing teams to work toward a common goal.
You're motivated by juggling multiple stakeholders, requirements, and inputs and distilling all of it down to a clear set of priorities and implementation plans in order to help teams get great stuff done.
You’re creative and resourceful. Jira is a beast but you know how to tame it. It's complex because it has to be one-size-fits-all, but you are able to understand what a team needs and make the necessary changes. You always look for solutions that are built into systems instead of creating manual labor. Automation is your to-go when solving control requirements.
You believe relationships are critical to success. You thrive in understanding current processes to see how to optimize them. You've successfully partnered with engineering groups to support them to become self-sufficient managing their projects.
You’re solid at time management. You can juggle a variety of fast-moving projects and be trusted to work with minimal supervision. You’re keen to build processes that will make your and others' job more efficient over time.
You are a skilled written communicator. Zapier is a 100% remote team and being able to communicate well is critical. Chat and video are our primary means of communication. You can communicate unfamiliar topics clearly and in an approachable way to both technical and non-technical staff, including senior management.
You love to collaborate, give a hand when needed. In this role you're not going to be just an advisor, you can and will get your hands dirty. You love to work with others, to give and take feedback and work together on creating a more efficient environment.

Things You Might Do
Zapier is a fast-growing, and remote-first company, so you'll likely get experience on many different projects across the organization. That said, here are some things you'll probably do:
Through coaching and hands-on work, you help multiple teams prioritize their work and improve their taks management skills
You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders and leaders to plan and support the delivery of many times company-wide projects or programs through the entire lifecycle.
Communicate challenges/blockers, progress, and changes with all stakeholders and liaison between the groups.
Ensure teams are focused on continuous improvement.
Act as the Jira administrator for the Security Zone's teams you are working with.
Partner with Product Management to manage our security product features as an acting Product Owner.
You won't be managing project tasks for other teams, you'll be guiding, teaching them how to be self-sufficient.
While you will be mainly working with the security team, focusing on a specialization will not limit your area for growth at Zapier as you can contribute differently in all areas.
