Why we're hiring:


The Cyber Security Advisor reports directly to the Senior Cyber Security Advisor and will act as the WPP IT Cyber Security’s primary interface with one of our three primary business areas. 


The role holder will be responsible for driving the delivery and adoption of cyber security services within the operating companies within their prescribed business areas. They will be required to build strong professional relationships and become a ‘trusted’ advisor on all matter’s security related to key stakeholders including their aligned business area CIO, Business Lead, Operational Assurance Lead, Operational Engineering Lead and others. 


The role holder will successfully promote the further adoption of centralised security services and drive consistency and continual improvement across their aligned business area. 


 


What you'll be doing:



  • Act as subject matter expert for assigned business area 

  • Be a central point of contact into Cyber Security for the CIO and other business stakeholders 

  • Support the Senior Cyber Security Advisor in promoting the uptake and delivery of centralised security services 

  • Oversee the improvement and standardisation of security controls within the aligned business area 

  • Collect, aggregate, interpret and present security metrics to aid management reporting 

  • Drive compliance to relevant security charters, policies, and standards within the aligned business area 


 


What you'll need:



  • MSC Information Technology degree (desirable but not essential) 

  • CISSP or similar 

  • A broad understanding of cyber security capabilities, tools, processes and frameworks 

  • Be versatile and proactive 

  • Be able to influence senior internal and external stakeholders 

  • Have strong consultancy experience 

  • Able to manage multi-stakeholder projects and overcome challenges 

  • Have excellent analytical, diplomatic and communications skills
