About the role

Reporting to our Co-Founder & CTO, we are looking to hire a dynamic Head of Security to lead our global cyber and data security programs to enable our ability to deliver the premier data authorization platform. Veza Security is responsible for all aspects of information security across the enterprise, including Web and Mobile application security, Cloud IAM, Cloud Infrastructure and end device security, Security Awareness Training, Policy, and Compliance.

Location

Remote/WFH. Open to anywhere in the United States.

About you

• Ability and proven experience to lead and build an information security organization


• Ability and experience to lead technology compliance and certification/recertification efforts, including SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, FedRamp


• Ability and experience to take ownership of all customer security reviews and internal company policies


• Ability and experience to define and implement company-wide information security governance and risk management program for a hyper-growth-stage SaaS company


• Strong public speaking skills to represent our capabilities both externally and internally




• Proven track record of speaking with customers and prospects on everything about our capabilities in compliance and security


• Proven experience in working with the CISO communities 

• Ability and experience to work closely with Product Development and Engineering team in a SaaS company to ensure the security and privacy measures implemented in the SaaS product are well-aligned with industry standards and risk-based thresholds to build customer trust


• Scrappy / builder-mentality - do whatever it takes to get things done

Bonus Points

• 10+ years of experience in a combination of risk management, information security, and IT jobs; strong preference is given to experience in hyper-growth stage SaaS companies

• You pride yourself on being an energetic self-starter who shows personal initiative and has experience working in a rapidly changing environment.


• Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to details and provide top-notch service to both onsite and remote users


• Ability to build and drive the information security roadmap and strategy, while also getting involved and helping with the hands-on, day-to-day activities


• Ability to identify, attract, hire, develop, and retain the best security professionals needed to staff a world-class organization
