About this role

Our engineering team owns the software that makes our marketplace work. We care about good engineering practice and love to write software that is secure, tested, easy to maintain, and can scale to millions of users. We build minimum viable products, deploy to production multiple times per day, A/B test customer-facing changes, listen to the data, and iterate.

As a Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer, you will work on securing Faire’s data and infrastructure within its cloud computing environment. You will be responsible for analyzing systems, identifying security vulnerabilities, advocating for security across engineering teams and leadership, and influencing our long term decisions around infrastructure and architecture.

What you’ll do 

• Ensure applications running within the cloud environment honour the requirements of our information security policy and standards for segmentation and configuration


• Create and improve monitoring and tooling around IAM to ensure least-privilege access is granted to employees and applications that run within the cloud


• Create and manage a data loss prevention program to prevent sensitive data from proliferating within, or leaving, the cloud network


• Harden our clients, servers, and networks against exploitation


• Empower teams at Faire with training and guidance on security best practices

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an infrastructure engineer or a system administrator in an information security discipline.


• Breadth of technical experience across various infrastructure and security areas running in large production environments.


• Exceptional analytical and investigative abilities with hands-on experience leading root cause analysis.


• Ability to communicate technical security concepts to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing.


• Expertise with cloud infrastructure and management in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
