The Global Information Security group mission is to evaluate, establish, maintain and monitor compliance with information security controls that protect the Company’s information and computer systems.

The group is led globally by the Chief Information Security Officer, with regional representation by the Regional Information Security Officers in EMEA and APAC. There are five global functional teams across our pillars of Governance, Strategy, Awareness, Risk Advisory and Monitoring & Metrics.

• Cyber Operations which provides global 24x7 operation center responsible for cyber monitoring, incident response, cyber intelligence, cyber forensics and vulnerability management. Also responsible for coordinating firm-wide functional engagement and escalation of cyber security issues and delivering firm-wide awareness of cyber security issues

• Cyber Risk Assessments & Governance which assesses cyber risk in our environment through governance, risk and compliance. This includes overseeing a penetration testing program, reducing vulnerabilities, and partnering with vendor management to assess supplier cyber risk.

• Cyber Architecture Services which is responsible for analysing and assessing cyber architecture and emerging technologies in addition to defining the platform security standards and delivering cyber analytics

• Cyber Analytics which develops quantitative processes and solutions to measure, automate, and model Information Security controls.

• Access & Identity Management which delivers Identity Management, and Access automation in support of Aladdin and in partnership with Human Resources for joiners / movers and leaversCyber Hunt Lead will support the global Cyber Operations team with the following key responsibilities:

• Performs investigation and analysis for indicators of advanced threat actors on the BlackRock network infrastructure

• Utilizes various data sources, security tools and intelligence feeds to identify new models for detection of adversaries

• Leads the team’s hunt governance program to help Cyber Operations execute and prioritize the hunt program backlog

• Leverage threat hunting program to develop content that can be operationalized for ongoing 24/7 protection of the firm

• Work with Cyber Analytics team to build models for the detection of advanced adversaries and threats

• Collaborates with technology teams to identify, resolve, and mitigate threats to the firm

• Provides advice and guidance in response to information risk events and incidents based on incident type and severity

• Assists with containment of threats and remediation of environment during or after an incident

• Work with SIEM Engineering and other security partners to develop and refine correlation rules

• Participate in the evaluation, testing and development of new cutting edge tools to assist the global Cyber Operations function

• Assist with forensics investigations related to intrusion attempts and incidents

• Participate in the creation, modification and maintenance of Cyber Hunt policies and procedures

• Keep abreast of cyber security trends and the emerging threat landscape in general and as it relates to BlackRock

• Deliver timely and detailed reporting of hunt program investigations and metrics
