The VP, Security Sales Architect will support value added security focused engagements with Cognite customers, from assessing customer requirements to helping shape joint security objectives. 

This position can be located in Austin, Houston or Remote - US.

What You'll Do
  • Partner with Cognite sales managers and solution architects to support security related scope needed in the development of sales opportunities from opportunity qualification to definition. 
  • Proactively engage with customer security stakeholders to support customer security objectives through scoping, architecture development and service definition.
  • Act as an advisor to the Marketing and Product Management functions to give in depth guidance on relevant security trends, regulations and new customer requirements, including calling out opportunities for security related differentiation in the market place.
  • Provide thought leadership in industry events and articles to shape perspective on security patterns and best practices Operational Technology PaaS/SaaS adoption
  • Create sales tools and assets that support faster sales cycles and higher quality security related sales discussions early in the process. 
  • Support commercial contract reviews to ensure alignment of security related capabilities and customer expectations.   
  • As a senior member of the security team, you will support the development of junior staff members to gain greater perspective on OT security and customer expectations and usage patterns. 

  • Who You Are
  • Industrial and Operational Technology Experience. Related experience in oil & gas, power & utility or manufacturing supporting development of security architectures and technology
  • DevSecOps Awareness.  Familiarity with Cloud / Infrastructure technologies and Secure Development Lifecycle in Paas/SaaS context
  • Communication and Collaboration. Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills; Strong executive presence, and the ability to support customer discussions, including CxO level.
  • Trusted Advisor. Proven track record of building deep industry relationships in the security community
  • Partner & Industry Insights. Deep understanding of digital transformation business drivers, cloud platforms, emerging computing trends and their impact on partner practice building opportunities; Ability to ensure partners are challenged in considering alternatives and adapting new strategies.
  • Strategy Formulation. Understanding of business strategies and outcomes that technology can support, strategic, long-term security driven differentiation through contributing to roadmaps on new and groundbreaking capabilities.
