Job Description

Studio X is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to provide Cloud Security services for AWS cloud environments. This security engineer will work with a team of developers, engineers, data and geo scientist for building, maintaining and continually improving secure services to support our products.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and develop security architectures for cloud systems.


• Works with the team to maintain all documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects.


• Work with the development team to ensure that the architecture will support the existing and planned applications.


• Provide guidance on the remediation of security findings.


• Performs advanced systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end.


• Manage cloud-based controls including identity and access management and securely configuring cloud environments.


• Provide security recommendations on service design, application development, and coding.


• Manage cryptography and encryption of data in the cloud.


• Log, monitor, and respond to detected incidents in the cloud environment.


• Work closely with staff to implement and maintain information security best practices for cloud systems.

What You’ll Bring:

• Experience with assessment, development, implementation, optimization, and documentation of a security technologies and processes (secure software development (Application Security), data protection, cryptography, key management, identity and access management (IAM), network security) within SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud environments.


• Working knowledge of common and industry standard cloud-native/cloud-friendly authentication mechanisms (OAuth, OpenID, etc.). Experience with deployment orchestration, automation, and security configuration management with Terraform preferred

Experience:

• 5 years of experience with Cloud platforms


• 3+ years of experience in deployment and management of AWS security services including Security Hub, AWS Inspector, AWS Systems Manager, OpenSearch Dashboard

• Full-time


• Preferred location: Austin, Remote for the right candidate


• Up to 25% travel may be required
