Our web service, LeapTM, is the only cloud service that delivers real-time access to a quantum computer (currently D-Wave’s 5,000 qubit Advantage system) and includes a full suite of open-source programming tools. D-Wave’s systems are being used by some of the world’s most advanced organizations, including NEC, Volkswagen, DENSO, Lockheed Martin, USRA, USC, and Los Alamos National Laboratory. 
  
The main goal of the D-Wave IT team is to provide top notch infrastructure and support service to all of D-Wave. In this role, you’ll be working with our team to design and maintain our core IT Infrastructure services, including our network, security systems, telephony services and backup environments. You’ll also help support our Linux users directly and provide network and security support across the entire company IT infrastructure, both local and remote.   

Responsibilities:
  • Architect, deploy, proactively monitor and maintain our company infrastructure so it is modern, secure, up to date, and meets the changing needs of our internal customers  
  • Manage our core and endpoint security related systems and tools such as our Firewalls, IDS, MDM solution, antivirus software and central encryption management products  
  • Assist our internal helpdesk with security, communications and Linux related issues  

  • Qualifications:
  • 5+ years’ experience in IT security and networking   
  • CCNA or equivalent hands-on experience  
  • Experience developing and maintaining IP networks, including physical and logical design of local networks and VPNs (VLANs, subnetting, access control, wireless network design, remote site connectivity) 
  • Experience with CISCO load balancing and firewall configuration 
  • Experience with NAC 802.1X integrations and maintenance 
  • Advanced network troubleshooting skills 
  • Expertise with Linux, including TCP/IP stack, shell scripting, NFS file sharing and QNAP storage systems   
  • Experience with DC/Azure Active Directory and VMware ESXi infrastructure  
  • Experience in SIEM products such as Splunk or Kibana  
  • Experience with monitoring systems and logging tools/solutions, such as syslog, logstash, Zabbix

  • Interpersonal Skills:
  • Customer service skills with excellent communication abilities  
  • An eagerness to learn and ability to seek out answers and escalate when necessary   
  • Project management skills, notably the ability to multi-task and prioritize  
  • The flexibility to occasionally work evening and weekend hours when required and willingness to join the IT team on-call rotation  
  • Skilled in problem solving and diagnosing technical issues  

  • Bonus Skills:
  • CCNP or equivalent certification  
  • Storage administration knowledge (NetApp FAS 22XX, 26XX)  
  • Atlassian tools experience (Jira, Confluence)  
  • ITIL knowledge
