Listing Description

• Installing, managing/maintaining and troubleshooting data network systems including: Switching, routing, and protocols. Ability to read network diagrams, and a thorough understanding of the OSI model. •

• Use Government-provided network security and systems management (NSSM) tools such as: Cisco IXIA, WSA, Solarwinds, Cisco Prime, Putty, Riverbed, Microsoft DHCP, Microsoft Visio,

• Other cyber tool experience a plus: WebInspect, dbProtect

• Provide and implement recommendations on system changes and operational procedures needed to increase efficiency.Must be experienced in TLA designs, Common Network Hierarchical designs, network flows.

Provide rapid detection/resolution of failures/component errors, network/system operation and maintenance, routine network software/hardware installation/replacement, network database backup/restore, audit trail and ID/password administration, evaluate new system regulations, and guidance on the planning, development and implementation of new systems and procedures for operation.

Must be able to work independently or in a team environment and with other departments to quickly and completely solve problems and may lead and direct the work of others. Individual may be working directly with customers and be able to have written and oral skills to communicate efficiently to technical and non-technical customers.

The individual shall provide technical expertise and support in establishing a plan/Standing Operating Procedure (SOP) for specific Operation and Maintenance (O&M) routines, training, qualification requirements, improved O&M method suggestions, procedures and conventions. Developing and reviewing network documentation for PPS, RFC's, and RMF.
