THE ROLE
There are no perfectly safe systems -- only safer systems. Xnor’s Head of Security Engineering will work to create and maintain the safest possible operating environment for our users and employees. They will help protect network boundaries, keep computer systems and network devices hardened against attacks, and provide security services to protect highly sensitive data and customer information.
A successful candidate is someone who immerses themselves in all aspects of security. In addition to being a subject matter expert, the Head of Security Engineering is highly-organized and is excited about bringing the world's best minds together to solve truly difficult problems.
They use their industry experience to own and drive the resolution of complex security incidents, policy questions and technical security issues.Build, maintain and manage a central security policy for Xnor’s local and cloud infrastructure
Continuously scan for and respond to policy violations
Design infrastructure and drive its implementation to protect Xnor’s networks and systems
Provide security expertise and guidance across Xnor’s engineering and business teams
Conduct security reviews of core corporate and production infrastructure
Apply holistic solutions that fix security issues, mitigate security risks based on data analytics and enhance our overall security posture
Conduct regular security assessments for core internal services ranging from physical security systems to complex web applications
Develop and drive the adoption of centralized security policies leveraging cloud/SaaS-based solutions, data handling standards and successfully draw from existing security programs, proactively mitigating relevant security risks with a focus on the protection of our employees, corporate assets and infrastructure
Perform root cause analysis of security-related issues, recommending corrective actions while collaboratively working with third-party vendors and internal partner teams to implement technologies focused on securely improving performance, reliability and scalability
Positively raise awareness and understanding across the company and provide security guidance on a constant stream of new projects and technologies while sharing your passion for security and privacy
