Our Cyber Network Defence division encompasses industry leading Penetration Testing, Digital Forensics, Incident Response, Advanced Threat Intelligence and Limited Stealth Operations.

You will have extensive, multi-functional client facing experience, a proven track record of performing high-quality penetration tests and reviews for private organisations or national government entities - providing recommendations and guidance for improvements their security.
DarkMatter members are adaptable, dynamic and flexible. You too will share these traits, being well versed in network, infrastructure, web application penetration testing with exposure to testing embedded and IoT devices. Automated vulnerability scans being called penetration tests should make you shudder, and whenever possible, you will endeavor to create your own tools and write scripts performing tests.
You will be comfortable in programming with scripting languages, such as Ruby or Python. Familiar with common penetration testing methods and standards, such as OWASP, NIST and OSSTMM and have deep knowledge of secure programming principles
At a minimum, you will have of 4 years client facing penetration testing experience.
We see the big picture at DarkMatter and know full well that some of the best penetration testers on the planet come without certifications and qualifications. With that said, industry qualifications are always an additional bonus, so extra points if you hold one or more of the following certifications: OSCE, OSEE, OSCP, SANS, GIAC, OSSTMM or NIST
Above all, you will have a relentless passion for penetration testing, a continuous thirst for knowledge, be ambitious, adore problem solving and like all members of the DarkMatter family, house a ‘nothing is impossible’ mindset.
We want our pen test specialists to remain at the top of their game, so we encourage and support each employee’s personal training and career progression.

We value your time, so we aim to respond to all applicants within five working days, whether you are successful or not. If you make it through the initial selection process you will have a conversation with a member of the Talent Acquisition team to broadly discuss your experience and interests, assess your compatibility with our values and culture, as well as try to answer your questions about DarkMatter. After this you will have a technical interview with someone from the team you would be working in to take a deeper dive into your skills.
If the process continues, and you make it to the final round of interviews, you will interview with your peers in other business units, as well as with the Head of Cyber Services and other executives before we make a decision.
With over 50 nationalities working in the firm we are literally hiring the best cyber talent in the world. Hence our interviews are frequently conducted by telephone or video-conference.
