The Role
As Threat Intelligence Analyst and Evangelist for the Threat Operations Center, you will work directly with threat analysts and SMEs to create reports, daily updates, and other deliverables for Premium Threat Information Service customers. Your knowledge of the threat landscape and ability to situate daily threat activity in the context of existing trends and to identify new trends as they emerge will enable you to provide valuable insight to our customers’ security teams and decision-makers. This is a very customer- and field-facing role, so your presentation skills will be critical to delivering clear, engaging monthly, weekly, and on-demand updates to customers, often over web or phone but sometimes in person, as well as to internal audiences, and to educate prospective customers about the capabilities of the service. Your knowledge of Python or other similar programming language will enable the team to derive greater insights from our data resources and work more efficiently by automating manual analysis and reporting tasks.
What you bring to the team
4+ years working in an information security-related role
Strong familiarity with malware landscape: working knowledge of various cyber threats is essential
Strong written and verbal communication skills (in English), including the ability to convey highly technical information in an accessible manner
Enthusiasm for interacting with customers and internal audiences (via web or phone and occasionally in person) to help present research findings, educate, answer questions
Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language in order to automate manual reporting and analysis tasks
Demonstrated analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple parallel research and writing projects of various sizes with a range of SME’s and data sources
Ability to work independently and collaborate closely with worldwide, remote teams
Can-do attitude with a focus on problem solving, product quality, and a strong desire to get the job done
BSCS or equivalent, or equivalent technical and hands-on experience.
BA/MA Humanities or Social Sciences acceptable if accompanied by 5+ years of relevant work experience
Knowledge of information security technology and enterprise practices, DFIR, cybersecurity intelligence practices
Optional: prior experience working in the sales environment - Sales Engineer, Consultant, Professional Services.
