Job Description

As a Technical Director in Mandiant Managed Defense, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain methodologies for managed detection and response service delivery. Technical Directors are responsible for the evolution of the managed detection and response solution, developing both business and technical requirements for enhancements to the Managed Defense service. Technical Directors work closely with Mandiant Solutions Engineering and prioritize feature requests to ensure that the solutions meet the needs of the service delivery teams and business. Technical Directors also work closely with Mandiant’s technology partners to support additional security technologies in Managed Defense.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop new investigative methodologies and optimize existing processes in Managed Defense
  • Work with Mandiant partners to understand the technologies that they offer and how they can be integrated into the Managed Defense service
  • Develop detailed technical requirements and user stories for managed solutions features and workflows
  • Create an effective technical vision, manage strategic backlog, and provide timely stakeholder feedback on development
  • Leverage technical knowledge to understand and manage trade-offs, ensuring product managers and business owners have the necessary information to make informed decisions
  • Prioritize requirements, define scope, and partner with internal and external development teams to meet project needs on-time, on-budget, and with the quality required
  • Participate in engineering status and design meetings
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for Managed Defense solutions
  • Facilitate the adoption of new capabilities, methodologies, solutions, or product features within the services organizations
  • Assist the Program Management team in coordinating new product and feature rollouts to internal and external customers

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Deep technical knowledge of technologies used incident response, computer forensics, endpoint detection and response, network security, cloud security, and/or application security
  • Technical understanding of endpoint detection and response technologies such as Trellix Endpoint Security, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, CrowdStrike Falcon, or SentinelOne Singularity
  • Technical understanding of network intrusion detection and prevention technologies such as Trellix Network Security, Suricata, or Snort
  • Experience with security detection and response for Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
  • Ability to make technology prioritization decisions based on market research and analysis provided by Strategic Product Management
  • Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship

Desired Requirements:

  • Prior experience driving product or engineering strategy for Security Operations Centers (SOC) or Professional Services
  • Experience with threat intelligence, SIEM, SOAR, or security analytic solutions
  • Programming experience in Python or JavaScript

Minimum Salary: $170,000. Final salary will be determined commensurately with cost of living, experience level, and/or any other legally permissible considerations.

Incentive Compensation: Eligibility for annual bonus subject to individual and company performance; eligibility for award of Restricted Stock Units subject to eligibility requirements, approval from Mandiant’s Compensation Committee, and vesting terms
