Why we're hiring:


The Cyber Security India Lead is responsible for the local, day to day management of all staff in India working within the Global Cyber Security team. This includes responsibility for recruiting, managing, motivating, developing and maintaining all staff working in the Cyber Security team based in India.


The Cyber Security India Lead will be an advocate for usage of Indian resources and will represent and showcase the skills and capabilities of India’s Cyber resources to the Cyber Security Management team.  


The role holder will be responsible for ensuring that the Indian team are as skilled and effective as possible whilst understanding the role expected of them and ensuring they are fulfilling their responsibilities to the delight of the accountable leadership.


The Cyber Security India Lead will also manage the day to day relationship with India based technology companies with whom we partner to support the end to end Cyber Security capability.


The Cyber Security India Lead will ensure that all Cyber Security team members in country are fully integrated with their colleagues around the world and have access to learning, development and social experiences.


What you'll be doing:



  • Ensure local teams are meeting the requirements and expectations of the Cyber Security Lead’s wherever they are located. Gather and understand the requirements and taskings of the Cyber Security Lead’s and ensure that the local team are effective in their fulfilment.

  • Work with local management and external agencies to attract high quality staff from the Indian market. Understand the gaps, requirements and priorities of the Global team and focus on closing most pressing needs first.

  • Understand the potential of each individual within the team and work with them to develop specific training plans and career paths to motivate and develop their capabilities and contribution.

  • Provide day to day local leadership for the Cyber team in India acting as a mentor, educator and motivator through the example personally set.  

  • Working with the broader Cyber Security leadership team, understand requirements and evolution of the team and promote the opportunities to grow the Indian team’s capabilities and contribution.

  • Provide all aspects of local management support from office environment design and provision, through local working hours design to shift pattern establishment and local pay and rations responsibility.

  • Work closely with peers and Management team in India to represent all aspects of the Cyber Security team’s work and promote and fulfil the requirements of the Cyber team. Work with the Cyber Security leadership team to understand priorities and direction and ensure Indian team members are focused and satisfying the requirements of the broader team.

  • Develop and produce Statistics and scorecards which track and demonstrate the effectiveness and contribution of the Indian Cyber Security team including staff related measures such as attendance and attrition.

  • Third party management. Manage third party providers to ensure they understand our needs of them, manage their contribution and act as a liaison and local escalation point as necessary.


What you'll need:


Qualification Requirements (Desirable)



  • Degree or equivalent (i.e. MBA) desirable but not essential

  • Cyber Security Certifications desirable but not essential


Skills / Experience Requirements



  • Extensive experience of recruiting, managing and motivating sizeable Cyber Security Indian teams (30-40) in a large and complex organisation

  • Detailed understanding of Indian Cyber Security Job market and techniques and requirements necessary to attract and retain skilled staff

  • Experience of working closely with multiple teams across a geographically distributed footprint - understanding timezone and cultural differences, the challenges this brings and techniques to optimise and maximise the contribution of each location.

  • Previous exposure and experience of operating in a matrix managed environment where day to day task leadership and priorities are being set outside ones own location.

  • Experience of working in a Cyber Security environment, preferably within a 24 * 7 operation such as a SOC.
