The job duties of a Security Software Engineer may include:
  • Gathering and analyzing information from publicly available sources to support investigations, threat assessments, or other intelligence needs.
  • Conducting social media monitoring and analysis to identify potential security threats or business opportunities.
  • Developing and implementing security collection strategies and methodologies.
  • Working collaboratively with other intelligence analysts and stakeholders to produce intelligence reports and briefings.
  • Utilizing various tools and techniques such as web scraping, data mining, and data visualization to support analysis and reporting.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest tools, techniques, and trends to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of security activities.

    • Qualifications for an Security Software Engineer typically include:
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, information technology, or intelligence studies.
  • Programming experience with Python, Golang, or Rust strongly preferred
  • Several years of experience in OSINT, intelligence analysis, or a related field.
  • Strong technical skills in security tools and techniques, as well as data analysis and visualization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve intelligence objectives.
