The Cyber Security Lead’s purpose is to manage and mature Class’s cyber security practice. This role will form part of the extended technology leadership team and be responsible for championing cyber security initiatives within Class. 

Responsibilities:
  • Development and maturity of Class’s cyber security practice
  • Governance of outsourced security providers
  • Ownership of regular disaster recovery and systems penetration testing, and delivery on recommendations from testing
  • Coordination with compliance team on yearly auditing and compliance for ISO27001 and other audits
  • Assessing vulnerabilities, risks and cyber security threats, and their impact on Class’s platforms and applications
  • Leading the Class security steering committee
  • Cyber Security evaluation of proposed projects within Class
  • Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to acquire products and services.

    • Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or related field, or relevant experience.
  • Strong background in risk assessments and security governance
  • Experience in Microsoft and Cisco security suites
  • Experience in WAF, backup, monitoring and alerting and DLP technologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the proven ability to engage effectively at all levels of an organization

    • Desirable:
  • Experience in Software Delivery lifecycle
  • Familiarity with the Atlassian dev tools suite (Confluence, JIRA, Bamboo, BitBucket)
  • Experience working with SaaS offerings
  • Experience in management of external SOCs
