About the Team:


OpenTable is the largest diner and restaurant network in the world. Our mission is to help experience the world through dining, and we think that is delicious! We are seeking a Security Engineer to join OpenTable’s team in Mexico.


The Security engineer is passionate about security. We are looking for a practitioner who will help drive adoption of security best practices and help with security operations and Incident Response (IR). OpenTable will provide the necessary training and development for security fundamentals.


Ideal candidates will have an understanding of networking fundamentals, infrastructure systems and familiarity with cloud. Must be detail oriented, able to manage multiple tasks, and work independently as well as in a team setting. Excellent communication skills, collaboration skills, and ability to adapt to shifting priorities are critical. Willing to ask questions, eager to learn.


 


Responsibilities:



  • Provide analysis of known and emerging threats to determine risks

  • Help with automation and orchestration for security processes and Integrate systems management automation to improve workflows

  • Experience working with major cloud environments

  • Creation, maintenance, governance and communication of security policies and standards across

  • Assessment and audit of compliance against the security policies and standards

  • Assurance that OpenTable assets are effectively managed and monitored to meet security criteria

  • Provide security expertise to teams and departments while collaborating with security specialists, program managers, developers

  • Act as an escalation point for helpdesk and departments.

  • Assist with the creation and/or maintenance of operational security metrics with dashboards and reports

  • Promote awareness of applicable security policies and standards


Requirements:



  • 3+ years technical experience

  • Experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software a plus

  • Knowledge of SIEM architecture or logging a plus

  • Experience in web application, infrastructure, and internet security along with a general understanding of common operating systems, networking protocols, and databases

  • Develop data visualizations in support monitoring and reporting efforts

  • Experience with scripting a plus
