Flow Traders is looking for an experienced IT Security Engineer to join our growing Technology team in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate has hands on experience across the spectrum of security tools and is comfortable working with a small international team to manage day to day operations and security projects. As an IT Security Engineer, you will participate in problem solving and supporting the organization in all things related to security and to optimize the level of security of our high performance IT infrastructure. You will be at the forefront of safeguarding our security infrastructure and will collaborate closely with global colleagues and other IT teams, like networking or systems.

What You Will Do

• Setup, manage and improve of technical security solutions


• Vulnerability management of diversified systems


• Security assessments and hardening of multiple platforms


• Security monitoring and incidents event handling


• Security posture audit and review and stay current against emerging threats


• Physical security/Operational technology integration and automation


• Design and documentation of security process and procedures

What You Need To Succeed

• Minimum Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field


• At least 2 years of working experience in IT security or related fields


• Hands-on experience in the following technologies: Firewalling, Endpoint protection, SIEM


• Experience in Digital Assets Security and/or Cloud Security is beneficial but not mandatory


• Good knowledge of operating systems, networking, and security concepts


• Experience with programming / scripting languages (e.g. Python) is good to have


• Creative and independent thinker with an enthusiasm to learn new technologies and tools


• Fluent written and spoken English to be able to work our colleagues across the global
