Regions Information Security is looking for an individual that will work with multiple technology teams to define and enhance process flows, and look for opportunities where they can apply effective automation and orchestration. The individual will function as a change agent by building and managing solutions that will solve problems, increase efficiency, and provide new capabilities.
Required Skills/Competencies:
•Demonstrated proficiency and experience with Python scripting.
•Well-organized, and process-oriented.
•Strong writing and documentation discipline.
Preferred Skills:
•Previous experience evaluating and implementing security products, data engineering projects, or PoC (proof-of-concept).
•Proficient understanding of relational databases and SQL.
•Experience with interacting and coding with web technologies/API's (REST, SOAP, etc.) is strongly preferred
•Experience in other functionally similar languages (Perl, Bash, Ruby, JS, etc.) is welcome.
•Experience with UNIX/LINUX systems.
•Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g. VMware, Docker, etc.).
•Familiarity with security concepts and tools such as SIEM, network forensics, host forensics, and IDS/IPS.
•Experience with Cybersecurity Operations and Incident Response is a plus.
•Knowledge of Agile working methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) is a plus.
•Experience with business process modeling and Visio design is a plus.
•Prior experience with orchestration and automation platforms is a plus.
Primary Responsibilities
Creates new ways to solve existing production security issues
Investigates intrusion incidents, conduct forensic investigations and mount incident responses
Evaluates new technologies and processes that enhance security capabilities
Establishes plans and protocols to protect data and information systems against unauthorized access, modification and/or destruction
Delivers technical reports on daily activities
Analyzes and advises on new security technologies and program conformance
Maintains knowledge with current emerging technologies and advancements within Information Security
Takes initiative and responsibility for achieving desired results
