Listing Description
•Planning, designing, implementing, and testing of all aspects of wireless networks
•Subject Matter Expert for infrastructure, including 802.11 (a/b/g/n/ac and WiFi 6)
•Lead analysis of customer requirements and development of wireless solutions to meet required performance and coverage
•Developing wireless coverage/heat maps utilizing industry standard tools
•Recommend wireless hardware and software to meet requirements and minimize cost
•Coordinate and execute site surveys to determine the actual layout and placement of the Wi-Fi, DAS, equipment to provide optimal WiFi coverage, data rates, network capacity, roaming capability, and Quality of Service (QoS)
•Develop and execute wireless test plans to include test strategy, criteria, test cases, schedule, locations, and expected & actual results
•Manage and lead vendor installation teams performing physical installation at multiple locations simultaneously
•Configure servers, routers, switches, and access points to customer requirements
•Integrate new wireless capabilities into existing site infrastructure and systems
•Develop documentation and procedures for operations and maintenance
•Ongoing participation in on-call rotationRequired Skills:
•Minimum of 6+ years’ experience in network topologies and communication protocols and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of network experience and schooling/certifications in lieu of degree
•Knowledge of wireless technologies including 802.11 (a/b/g/n/ac and WiFi 6)
•Experience with Network Access Control (802.1X) technologies
•Knowledge of enterprise routing protocols, such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
•Experience with configuring Cisco routers and switches
•This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
Desired Skills:
•Knowledge of cellular technologies (3G/4G/5G); DAS
•Experience managing licensed and un-licensed frequencies
•Experience with scripting languages/technologies, such as Python/Bash or Ansible
•Experience deploying and managing network management tools (Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Riverbed Portal, Solarwinds, DNA Center)
•Experience with compliance and auditing of wireless Infrastructures
•Experience deploying IOT capable networks (AR/VR Wearables, Autonomous Vehicles, Automated Factories)
•Cisco certification (CCNP) or equivalent
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology, Science, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline or equivalent combination of network experience and schooling/certifications in lieu of degree
