About the Role:



Under the general direction of the IAM Practice Director, the Principal Engineer, will partner with our clients to solve complex Access Management Technology business problems and provide best in class advice and solutions.  The principal engineer will strive to develop lasting relationships with client personnel and seek to further these relationships through quality product delivery.  The goal of the principal engineer is to understand their client’s business and demonstrate technical competence in their solution and industry.   The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven record of accomplishment in relevant Access Management technologies. You must be comfortable in a dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. You must possess strong presentation skills. You must be organized and analytical, able to eliminate delivery obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.



What You’ll Do:



  • Manage and lead the architecture and design of Access Management solutions with  end-to-end implementation and operation knowledge of different components of Ping

  • Provide consulting expertise on operational models, strategic roadmaps, and return on investment for end customers.

  • Gather technical requirements and facilitate sessions for building solutions relevant technologies.

  • Lead the proposed Ping AM solution including transitioning the build and implementation to the delivery team and remain engaged with the client while becoming a “thought leader” for the next opportunity.

  • Ensure that a quality solution is delivered in a timely manner, within budget, and to our client's satisfaction.

  • Work closely with the client to understand and manage their expectations while simultaneously working closely with internal teams to ensure delivery.

  • Communicate Company value proposition to varying technical and non-technical clients, including executive ''C'' level management, VP, and Director levels, and end-users.

  • Establish strong and lasting relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers in client organizations.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Account Management team to develop sales playbooks outlining strategies for driving high value into strategic accounts.

  • Provide leadership for consultants and overall engineering team.

  • Contribute to the development of internal best practices as well as new innovative consulting services offerings that we can take to market.

  • Build a community and following around our company solutions and brand awareness.


Qualifications & Interests:



  • 5+ years' experience designing, implementing, and managing enterprise AM solutions, with specific experience in Ping.

  • Provide subject matter expertise, act as technical product advocate, design, develop and implement Security platform.

  • Excellent customer-facing skills from working in software consulting and/or SI consulting role

  • Candidate should be able to have working knowledge, manage, and lead the architecture & design of Ping

  • Working knowledge of Ping

  • Architecting both product - for design and implementation

  • Utilizing and applying knowledge of computer science skills such as Java, Python, OOP concepts, Computer Networking, SDLC, operating systems fundamentals (Windows, Unix, Linux)

  • Utilizing knowledge and experience in public cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and developing IAM solutions for and in the cloud

  • Expertise, technical & functional, integrating application user access data into SailPoint

  • Coding and configuring Ping to ensure User Access Management is effective

  • Coding and configuring Ping IT & business roles to simplify the presentation and the decision process

  • Knowledge and experience of implementing IAM tools in a variety of customer environments

  • Ability to define and deliver to deadlines, to quality, and with proof of testing

  • Ability to work independently in addition to working closely in a team environment

  • Experience troubleshooting access control related technologies and solutions

  • Exceptional planning, organization, communication, presentation, multi-tasking, prioritization, documentation, and business analysis skills

  • Experience in other technologies or willingness to learn it, is a huge plus

  • Demonstrable knowledge of Information Security and Network Architecture concepts

  • Experience with UNIX operating systems and programming / scripting

  • Excellent customer-facing skills from working in software consulting and/or SI consulting role

  • Ability to effectively facilitate and lead cross-functional teams and resources

  • Strong critical thinking, analytic, and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to train technical users

  • Ability to conduct technical presentations

  • Security certifications are a plus

  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.

  • Willingness to travel and connect with stakeholders
