The successful hire will qualify for a $2000 (before deductions) signing bonus.
A $1000 bonus will be provided in the first payroll; the second $1000 bonus will be provided after 3 months of successful employment (probation). 

About the Role
Numeris is evolving. Our applications are a mix of in-house and integrated vendor tools dealing with big data and complex analytics. We are increasingly using Big Data sets to calibrate our world-class panel data, and our technology needs to keep pace with this change. We are seeking an experienced and forwarding-thinking Manager of Information Security to aid in our safe and compliant transformation from an on-prem, linear, tightly coupled development paradigm to cloud-based, agile, and loosely coupled.  
The Manager, information Security is accountable for managing information security strategy, governance, risk, and compliance for Numeris. This manager oversees the continuing development, communication, and review of Numeris’ information security policy framework, identifies, assesses, and mitigates information security risks throughout the enterprise. This role reports to the VP of Information Technology. 

What you will do
  • Working with the VP of IT, develop and maintain Numeris’ information security strategy and roadmap, in line with current industry best practices, covering policy development, process design, technology, and appropriate organisational transformation.
  • Develop and execute plans to implement the above roadmap.
  • Collaborating with Operations, develop, maintain, and coordinate testing of Numeris’ Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP), and in cooperation with Corporate Compliance, test of Numeris’ Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
  • Manage Numeris’ security operations, including team of security analysts and SOC functions.
  • Working with the Service Desk team, ensure end-point security for Numeris staff devices (computers and phones.)
  • Maintain Numeris’ InfoSec Incident Response Plan.  Document security breaches and the extent of the damage caused by breaches.
  • Review existing and new system designs to ensure sufficient security and recovery provisions have been included.
  • Coordinate penetration, vulnerability, and other such tests and audits for Numeris. Review results of those tests and initiate and monitor work to address any vulnerabilities identified.
  • Coordinate information security training for Numeris staff, and promote cyber security awareness throughout the organisation to instill a culture of security.
  • Gather metrics and other measures to measure Numeris’ security posture and potential cyber risks. Produce of regular cyber security reports.
  • Collaborate with internal compliance team to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and frameworks such as PIPEDA, SOC (2), and NIST.

  • What you have
  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in information security, operational risk, internal audit, or other relevant roles, with specific knowledge of and exposure to data integrity and cyber security.
  • Extensive / expert working knowledge of information security and vulnerabilities / threats.
  • Experience with AWS and Azure cloud security options and configuration, including access controls, firewall configuration and network design considerations, system and application monitoring, and proactive issue prevention. Related certifications strongly preferred.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or similar.
  • Expert knowledge of information security best practices, tools, and techniques, including experience with:
  • o   antimalware / end-point management, including MDM;
  • o   intrusion prevention, detection, and response;
  • o   data loss prevention;
  • o   encryption;
  • o   SIEM implementations and maintenance;
  • o   incident management including forensics; and
  • o   policy development.
  • Good understanding of the software development lifecycle, and expert working knowledge of (AWS) DevSecOps best practices.
  • Proven success as a people manager and mentor, and as a corporate security evangelist.
  • Knowledge of relevant security and privacy legislation.
  • Proven communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to various audiences.
  • Ability to influence and lead change, maintaining collaborative and trusted relationships with stakeholders, and to lead cross-functional teams to achieve results.
  • Excellent judgment, critical thinking skills, and strong decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to brief stakeholders on complex issues in a succinct manner.
