Why you want to work for our Security Team:

The Senior Security Engineer contributes to the overall security of Accruent’s Products, development environments, and corporate back office. This role will be primarily responsible for defining and implementing the controls and tools for our cloud presence and identity and access management (IAM). This involves active participation analysis and implementation of security tools in the cloud, incident response, planning for security related projects, and implementation of identity and access management. This is a technical position.

This position reports directly to the Chief Information Security Officer and located in the United States. The position will be remote or hybrid depending on the location.

How you'll make a difference:

• Responds to security alerts, especially in relation to cloud events and issues related to IAM.


• Helps maintain security operations tooling including SIEM forwarding, vulnerability scanning and EDR management, especially related to our cloud presence.


• Performs investigations, gathers evidence around incidents and recommends solutions to management


• Gathers metrics on performance of the security program


• Assists Accruent Cloud Operations team to ensure the cloud is properly configured to limit exposure and secure the cloud against external and internal threats.


• Will design and implement necessary controls and tools around IAM.


• Automates routine security tasks


• Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging security practices and standards


• Supports client inquiries into Accruent’s security programs

What you bring to the table: 

• BS in Technology related degree or equivalent combination of education and experience


• 5+ years with security responsibilities


• At least one security certification, such as CISSP, CCSP and/or senior level cloud certification from AWS, GCP, or Azure.


• Ideal candidate will have strong background with Identity and Access Management


• Strong scripting/automation skills: Python, PowerShell, Ruby, Bash, etc.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills


• Experience working with security tools including Veracode, Nexpose, Splunk, CyberArk (or other privileged access management tools),Carbon Black (or other EDR Tools) , etc.


• Preferred skills/experience:




• Experience in a complex SaaS environment is a plus.


• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline, Engineering/CS/Information Systems degree preferred or equivalent experience.
