Who we are:
The Democratic National Committee (DNC) Tech team is a diverse team that builds and delivers technology used by candidates and organizers in all 50 states and 3,413 counties across the United States to analyze data, organize campaigns, raise money, and get out the vote on election day! We hire product managers, engineers, researchers, designers, security practitioners, IT professionals, and data scientists to develop a rich technology ecosystem for progressives—building tools ourselves and partnering with other companies and organizations. The DNC Security Team is a collaborative environment where you will have the opportunity to learn about unique security challenges to address and manage.

The role:
As a primary responsibility, you will architect, deploy, configure, and help support a broad range of enterprise security solutions to harden our infrastructure. You will partner closely with the Information Technology (IT) and DevOps team to help them operationalize these solutions. Secondary responsibilities include advising and consulting multiple stakeholders such as engineering, data, and product teams so they can avoid, mitigate or remediate risks within their defined roles and responsibilities. Security is a community effort at the DNC, and you'll be joining an organization that fully partners with and supports the security strategy, culture, and team. Together we will protect all Democrats to secure the progressive ecosystem!

You will:
  • Architect, deploy, configure, and help support solutions within the identity, endpoint security, data loss prevention, cloud security, DevSecOps, and SIEM space.
  • Help admin Google Workspaces.
  • Be a technical subject matter expert and key decision-maker in project meetings and activities related to infrastructure and enterprise security.
  • Contribute to roadmaps and overviews to key stakeholders and internal customers such as engineering, data, and product teams.
  • Help maintain internal documentation and business processes around our security infrastructure and services catalog.
  • Closely collaborate with the Security Program Manager,  IT, DevOps, Security Operations, and GRC staff.
  • Help the GRC staff conduct third-party risk assessments and internal audits.
  • Participate as a member of the incident response team and be part of an on-call rotation.

  • What we are looking for:
  • Experience with deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting technologies like Google workspace, identity providers, endpoint security or unified endpoint management agents, cloud-native security services, CASB, and SIEM.
  • Experience deploying security and infrastructure services in AWS or GCP.
  • Experience designing and deploying event-driven responses in the cloud.
  • Have contributed to infrastructure and security as code in any capacity.
  • Knowledge of the NIST, CIS, AWS FSBP, or similar cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Experience using Atlassian suites such as Jira and Confluence to manage and track projects and tasks.
  • Familiarity with defining OKR and KPI metrics to track progress or success and providing regular updates and reports to leadership.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
