The Cybersecurity Architect will plan, design, select, configure, install, test, service, maintain, and administer a variety of security hardware and software solutions to protect all company devices, software, hardware, data, networks, and telecommunications devices, as well as other peripheral equipment related to information technology. The CA will develop and deploy LiveOak Fiber’s security infrastructure, policies, and procedures, as well as be responsible for lifecycle maintenance of all systems and equipment. The CA will respond to security events using best practice techniques. The CA will work to ensure all personnel are following security policy and strive to maintain a strong security-oriented culture.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPlan and design security infrastructure for LiveOak FiberMaintain lifecycles of all hardware/software Configure, Install, and Maintain security hardware/software to include firewalls, switches, routers, end-point protection software, and all other related security solutionsAdministration of SIEM. Monitoring systems security and responding to security incidentsConduct security systems testingEnsure integrity, confidentiality, and availability of sensitive dataIDS/IPSDevelop SOP’s and policies for both personnel and all security infrastructureAdministration of Microsoft 365 security and policiesCollaborate with various departments to identify potential vulnerabilities and ensure proper mitigation techniques are used to minimize attack surfaceProvide education on security best practice to company personnelConduct risk and vulnerability scans and assessments of planned and installed information systemsSynchronize and coordinate all cybersecurity tests, scans, inspections, and reviews with all affected parties
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong knowledge of Firewalls, Switches, Routers, Windows, Linux, MacOS, etc. Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals and network defenseStrong understanding of planning and designing scalable security infrastructureKnowledge of NIST Cyber Framework, and Risk Management FrameworkExperience writing policies and proceduresAbility to solve complex issues and problemsStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to work independently as well as in a team, and manage key priorities
Basic Qualifications & CompetenciesBS degree in a related discipline and 4+ years of experience or
MS degree in a related discipline with 2+ years of experience or
In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of directly related experience will serve as qualificationExtremely versatile and dedicated to efficient productivityMust be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
