Listing Description
Partner cross-functionality with backend developers and operations to improve security controls across our organization; Collaborate with our cloud automation team to ensure continuous integration is built with security in mind; Implement and develop cloud native security tooling to assist in monitoring product infrastructure; Perform security design reviews for supporting product features and enhancements; Develop and apply security for all phases of the software development life cycle; Maintain integrity and secure cloud native infrastructure; Implement security automation by monitoring product architecture for security misconfiguration; Perform threat modeling for systems and infrastructure to identify potential security issues; Utilize knowledge of programming/scripting experience (Golang, Python, Node, etc.), as well as knowledge of writing infrastructure as code; Develop, communicate, and maintain security knowledge and standards; Position allows for telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Management Information Systems, or related field plus 3 years of professional experience working in security engineering performing threat modeling for systems and infrastructure to identify potential security issues. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of experience, the employer will accept a Master's degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Management Information Systems, or related field, plus 1 year of professional experience working in security engineering performing threat modeling for systems and infrastructure to identify potential security issues. Must also have the following: 1 year of professional experience scripting using programming languages including Golang, Python, or Node; 1 year of professional experience managing and writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC); 1 year of professional experience working with container scheduling and Docker; 1 year of professional experience performing AWS administration; 1 year of professional experience performing configuration management including Puppet, Salt, or Chef; 1 year of professional experience working with Kubernetes.
