The key focus of the role it to ensure IT systems are secure and meet compliance requirements.
The role will encompass identifying and implementing security requirements, configuring and monitoring compliance reporting working with internal and external customers to understand the current and future risks from an IT security perspective

Within this role you will:
  • Monitor security, application and access logs to identify and resolve potential issues
  • Configure and maintain log monitoring and SIEM tools
  • Work with internal and external customers to ensure IT security requirements are understood and met
  • Review firewall, IDS and IPS configurations to ensure they are secure
  • Review and configuration of security services in the cloud
  • Management of vulnerabilities within the estate. 

    • We need you to have:
  • Experience working within an IT security team
  • Knowledge of operating systems including Windows and Linux
  • Knowledge of firewall, IPS and IDS systems, SIEM systems.  
  • Practical knowledge of implementing cloud security processes – including Office365, Azure and AWS
  • Good knowledge of cyber security risks and tools – firewalls
  • Experience of vulnerability management. 
  • A very high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn
  • Broad knowledge and experience of IT security
  • Analytical approach to identifying and resolving issues
  • Must be able to communicate clearly at all levels with ability to translate complex issues and risks to non-technical people
  • Must be able to identify and communicate risks so people understand potential impact

    • Travel Requirements:
  • Less than 20% travel with the majority being in India. Potential travel to the UK at most once a year.
