Senior Security Consultant – Contract

Location: UK

Mandiant Consulting team ensures the long-term success of our clients by providing talented, passionate and specialized security consulting expertise. We are looking for motivated consultants with strong incident management experience and customer service skills to help our clients manage complex cyber security incidents at a global scale. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills and experience in security governance, security risk management, security operations, (including SOC management) and will have experience of dealing with Advanced Threats working within cyber incident management / response programs• Lead and manage cyber security incident response efforts for global organisations facing a myriad of threats on a daily basis including network intrusions, ransomware infections, and data breaches

• Develop response actions for rapidly changing cyber security incidents that affect clients’ global networks

• Ability to quickly provide advice and assistance for client executives and technical experts in high-pressure and time-sensitive situations

• Ability to identify information requirements and analysis goals for resolving cyber security incidents

• Interface with clients to address concerns, issues or escalations; track and drive to closure any issues that impact the service and its value to clients

• Ability to manage in-house SOC and Incident Management teams

• Ability to document and explain technical details in a clear and concise manner

• Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources and present concise, relevant information to a non-technical audience

Additional Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of external audiences, including being able to interact effectively with senior executives

• Demonstrated ability to make decisions on remediation and countermeasures for challenging information security threats

• Experience developing and managing incident response programs

• Experience managing Incident Management teams

• Experience managing SOC teams

• Experience with FireEye products, highly desired

• Excellent knowledge of current information security solutions and technologies, including network and host based products

• Experience implementing NIST information security guidelines in a diverse network environment

• Experience and knowledge of packet flow/TCP/UDP traffic, firewall technologies, proxy technologies, anti-virus, spam and spyware solutions (Gateway and SaaS)

• Malware/security experience

• Experience with a scripting language such as Perl, Python, or other scripting language in an incident handling environment, highly desired
