CSA+Capstone is seeking a System Security Administrator to support The Enterprise Security Team (EST) which is primarily responsible for monitoring and maintaining the security posture of the Enterprise.  The team consists of three major components: Patching, Security configuration compliance and Vulnerability Scanning and Remediation.  The System Security Administrator will perform all duties with the EST Team and work closely to report and resolve any issues.  The main tasking of the System Security Administrator will be utilizing Altiris Deployment Solution to patch and maintain security posture of network assets.

Responsibilities
  • Perform ACAS scan as required.
  • Apply necessary security packages using Altiris to ensure compliance with all security mandates. 
  • Provide Enterprise systems security management to the NETC computer assets. 
  • Keep the NETC servers and workstations up to date and in compliance with IAVA's; Microsoft Fixes or other patches to Operating Systems (OS) or Applications that are released. 
  • Ensure applications/servers are compliant with FISMA, AV application IAVM/IAVA/IAVB, AD policies, application CTOs and INFOCONs., etc.
  • Review Software Change Administration and Notification results and determine compliance and provide resolutions.

  • Qualifications
  • HS diploma or GED
  • 6 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of Altiris Deployment Solution
  • Familiar is DISA ACAS, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS), and DISA SCAP Compliance checker.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.  Be able to pass a security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
  • Functional expertise with Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
  • Able to lift 25lbs, climb stairs, stoop under equipment or desks, walk across campus.
  • DoD Secret Clearance


  • Certifications
  • Navy Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) baseline certification to include CompTIA Security+
  • IA Contractor Training and Certification and Computing Environment (CE) certification may be required at the task order level.

  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems; or 1 to 2 years of college
  • Navy Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) baseline certification to include OS Certification.
  • IT project management experience supporting Navy or DoD network systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including drafting, reviewing, and editing technical graphs, briefs, or documents.
  • Evidence of being detail oriented and has strong critical thinking in areas of IT process analysis / process improvement.
  • Possesses Good Team Skills having the ability to coordinate and work well with others
