We are transforming and accelerating clinical trials, to help get life-saving treatments to patients faster and accelerate innovation in healthcare. To that end, we build a cutting-edge software suite that connects all clinical research stakeholders, from research teams to treating physicians, patients, and study sponsors on a real-time, real-world data SaaS platform, powered by AI.
We are looking for a Security Engineer to join our growing team.
Daily Activities Include Designing and executing on architecture plans, and bringing engineering solutions to reality with a DevSecOps mindset & culture Working closely with stakeholders to gather technical requirements, architect solutions and execute on deliverables Collaborating with various stakeholders in multiple technical disciplines: including developers, subject matter experts, database administrators, system administrators, and system architects to support existing and implement new security solutions Designing, building, operating, and maintaining a data protection/data loss prevention practice Performing industry research on new security protocols and methodologies Serving as a technical advisor to management concerning the planning, development, design, procurement, maintenance and implementation of security for enterprise-level systems Mentoring team members in information systems cloud security best practices Helping to build and configure plans, code pipelines and automated solutions that can be re-used and/or scale. Monitoring and evaluating audit and compliance industry trends and third-party tools Functioning as a core member of the security architectural review board Acting as a core member of the office of information security
About You 1+ years of experience doing security and/or infrastructure solution architecture 5+ years of experience engineering and building cloud architecture with AWS, AWS IAM, PaaS offerings and experience in both AWS Commercial & Government 3+ years of hands-on experience migrating customers to the cloud and designing DevOps operational processes Experience and understanding of Infrastructure as Code, Automation, and Orchestration Experience deploying web and service-based applications in Windows/Linux environments Working knowledge of a configuration management tool (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc) Experience with monitoring tools (Microsoft Operations Management Suite), and certificates & SSL management Understanding of microservices (Docker, Kubernetes, etc) Working knowledge of IP networking, VPN's, DNS, load balancing, WAFs and other cloud detection/protection systems, NAT and packet filtering Configuration and maintenance of common applications and protocols (Azure Resource Templates, JavaScript Frameworks (Angular), RESTful APIs, JSON and XML formats, etc) Experience with US government compliance frameworks (HIPAA, FISMA/FedRAMP, MARS-E, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, etc) & a basic understanding of the ATO/ATC process Previous work experience at an organization that develops software Demonstrated project management skills & strong attention to detail Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to individuals with varying levels of technical understanding Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently Ability to organize time and project work efficiently Bachelor’s degree + certifications, technical training, or other audit and compliance relevant work experience Full remote or work in our Pasadena office
