POSITION OVERVIEW


Global Atlantic is seeking an experienced professional to lead the Business Continuity and Physical Security programs within the Corporate Services Team. The team seeks an individual with significant skills spanning both business continuity and physical security to oversee the day-to-day operations and to drive advances in maturity of the respective programs.  Global Atlantic strives to be a resilient organization while protecting its people and assets from unexpected business disruptions.


Key responsibilities include the following:


Lead the Business Continuity and Physical Security programs – manage people and vendor resources.



  • Business Continuity (50%)


    • Lead the Business Continuity program, including Business Impact Analysis, ongoing reporting, and testing (work from home, regional handover, and senior leadership tabletop drills included).

    • Drive collaboration across constituent groups throughout the organization with a focus on, but not limited to the Information Security Risk Management team and the Information Technology Disaster Recovery team.

    • Partner with Strategic Sourcing and Operations to establish and test resilience capabilities of external vendor resources.

    • Handle any crisis or event, including organizing and running calls with key leaders to develop and confirm strategy, partnering with Internal Communications on any necessary crisis communications, and completing an After-Action process to ascertain root cause and lessons learned

    • Ensure that all federal, state and local regulatory requirements are met to include business partner expectations.


  • Physical Security (50%)


    • Lead day-to-day operational needs of the physical security program.

    • Identify, analyze and monitor the risks to executives and business travelers and develops strategies to oversee and mitigate those risks.

    • Work with internal stakeholders to improve the company’s travel security program to ensure proper duty of care is given to the business traveler.

    • Manage US and Global political exposure risks and facilitate confidential inquiries for and on behalf of the business.

    • Advance the workplace violence program that consists of threat management, training and interaction with business units and individual sites



Education and Experience Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s degree in area of study relevant to business continuity and security required.

  • 10-12 years of experience in business continuity, security risk management, advance logistics and providing operational support is required.

  • Experience in the financial services industry is preferred.

  • Professional certification in both Business Continuity and Physical Security industry disciplines

  • Familiarity with business aviation a plus.

  • Competent IT knowledge, both in terms of the Groups systems and emerging popular technologies.

  • Ability to work with and best leverage software we are currently utilizing for physical security, crisis communications, and business continuity.

  • Strong MS Office skills, including ability to utilize MS Excel and PowerPoint to create strategic presentations for leadership and business sponsors.

  • Understanding of the Group's global strategies and ability to translate to local direction.

  • High ethical standards.

    • Must be able to manage third party contractors within an agreed budget and timeframe.

  • Security Operations and Security Systems/Technology.

  • Internal: IT, Human Resources, Legal, Facilities, EHS, Audit, Compliance, and senior leadership.

  • External security integrators, project management consultants and special technical resources.

  • International and domestic partners within law enforcement, intelligence agencies, etc.


Other Job Requirements:



  • Domestic and International travel required and ability to with little or no notice.

  • Passport and ability to obtain entry Visas as required.

  • Valid Driver’s license required.
