Reporting into the the Head of Enterprise Data & Security Architecture, the purpose of the role is to offer a holistic approach to security. Providing strategic direction and overall design authority on the delivery of WPP Enterprise Security. Maintaining a business focus on delivering seamless customer journeys, supported by efficient business processes. Able to consult and advise WPP operating groups on best practices for business processes, user experience, user interface, and architecture domains. 

What you'll be doing:

• Contribute to overall Enterprise Security Architecture Governance and/or industry specific cyber architecture framework 


• Consulting and advising business leaders, presenting Architecture Strategies and Plans to the business 


• Define relevant standard security architecture templates (e.g., playbooks, models, blueprints, etc.)  


• Define and continuously maintain WPP enterprise security architecture standards  


• Coach, mentor and collaborate with internal security teams, and industry leaders, to aid in architecting & maintaining enterprise security architecture blueprints and roadmaps   


• Research, confirm and monitor relevant vendor technology capabilities and product roadmaps 


• Aligning all work with defined top level security strategy and vision 


• Acting as the SME, he/she will be accountable to lead and make security architecture decisions. On all aspects of WPP systems, standards and policy creation aligning systems and tools with the TOM 


• Support other S&A Enterprise Architects across the other 4 domains – Technology, Data, Application and, Governance 


• Advising and shaping security architecture best practices in an evolving environment 


• Align existing systems with industry standard frameworks and methodologies – NSCS, NIST, SABSA, TOGAF - and perform gap analysis as required 

What you'll need:

• Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Security Architect. 


• Candidates with 5 years of service provider background will have an added advantage 


• CISSP/CCSP/CCSK certification or its equivalent is preferred 


• Must have a specialization in 1-2 areas of Cyber domains, such as Identity Access Management and Cloud Security, with a broad understanding of other areas 


• Must be familiar with cloud-based enterprise security technologies 


• Creative problem-solving ability and strong analytical skills 


• Experience of working with diverse teams and is a team player 


• Experience working in Agile/ SCRUM methodology environments 


• Skilled in Agile/Scrum methodology, SCRUM certified is a bonus. 


• Ability to drive creation of prototypes and proof of concepts 


• Effectively communicate, interact, and influence business and operational stakeholders and partners 


• Good understanding of applying architectural frameworks and methodologies to designed business solutions 


• Able to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience in a way that is relevant, easy to consume and compelling 


• Establish and manage architectural design review processes 


• Broad knowledge of technology developments, trends, and predictions 


• Understanding of common business analysis techniques and approaches 


• Experience of developing key Architecture deliverables– Roadmaps, Blueprint, Standards and Guidelines 


• Comfortable working with ambiguity and able to provide clarity of direction despite this
