Who We’re Looking For (Position Overview):
Spry is looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst with junior to mid-level experience to support the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation (USBR) upper Colorado Basin Region (UCBR) 7.  This position will provide ISSO and security assessment services to 3 information systems.  The contractor should have XACTA experience, be familiar with the NIST SP 800 special publications, and should have good writing skills.  This position is about 80% remote work with up to 20% travel.

What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities):
  • As the Cybersecurity Analyst, you would be working with a team of other analysts in managing the information systems in XACTA. 
  • You will receive guidance from a technical manager who will task you with ATO, and/or ISSO related work.
  • You may conduct vulnerability scanning and/or analysis, review and update security documentation, conduct Continuous Monitoring, and support audit events, etc.

  • What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements):
  • Public Trust clearance
  • Experience creating FISMA-related activities to include: system security plans, contingency plans, incident response plans, configuration management plans, security control requirements and assessments, Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M), and training requirements. 
  • Experience in applying NIST SP 800-37 Risk Management principles, interpreting requirements and developing implementation guidance.
  • Experience with performing information system continuous monitoring of security controls to ensure that they continue to be implemented correctly, operating as intended and producing the desired outcome with respect for meeting the security requirements.
  • Experience gathering and organizing information for the preparation of system documentation to include system plans and standard operating procedures into clear, readable documentation for technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Experience as an ISSO.
  • Knowledge of industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT) to include SCADA. 

  • Ideally, You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Experience with XACTA preferred.
