The Mandiant Consulting Strategic Services team ensures the long-term success of our clients by providing talented, passionate, and specialised security consulting expertise.  

Our consultant’s partner with clients to evaluate, create, develop, improve, and mature information security operations and programs. By utilising the latest industry standards and combining experience and knowledge gained from Mandiant’s Incident Response and Intelligence practices, we are able to develop defence-forward information security programs for our clients.  

As an Information Security Consultant, you will span operational, tactical, and strategic levels and tackle difficult problems that businesses are facing. This is an opportunity for you to showcase your strong communication skills and experience in security strategy, security operations, security architecture, and/or cyber incident response. 

The UK strategic team is a dynamic, motivated, and rapidly growing team who are constantly learning and innovating to meet client needs against the evolving threat landscape. Our mission is to have real-world impact by helping our clients better defend themselves from potentially devastating cyber-attacks. From board level briefings to assessing ransomware resilience, the work of the Strategic team is extremely varied.

We are actively recruiting for talented consultants across a range of grades. As some in-person engagements are returning, candidates need to be UK based.  

What You Will Do: 

  • Become a trusted partner to a range of clients, building and maintaining strong relationships 

  • Conduct security program assessments and build roadmaps to improve clients’ security posture  

  • Deliver intelligence-led table-top exercises  

  • Assess SOC and incident response team capabilities and provide recommendations for improvement  

  • Advise clients on how to prepare for incidents such as ransomware  

  • Develop bespoke documentation such as Incident Response Plans and Playbooks  

  • Deliver threat briefings to executives and security operations teams. 

  • Participate in client workshops and develop reports 

 


    Qualifications

     

    • Minimum 4+ years of professional information security experience. Multiple grades are available for different experience levels. 

    • Strong understanding of the threat landscape, including prominent nation state/ criminal threat actors and cyber attacks 

    • Expertise in one or more of the following areas: Incident Response, Security Operations, Threat Intel, Cloud Security, Enterprise Architecture  

    • Understanding of enterprise network topology and common security controls 

    • Knowledge of security operations / incident response processes and technologies 

    • Ability to explain technical details in a clear and concise manner to both security analysts and program stakeholders 

    • Excellent presentation and report writing skills 

    • Highly motivated with a passion for cyber security
