Security is one of the top priorities at TGS. We have intellectual property, confidential data, and complex computing environments that need to be protected. At the same time, TGS offers its employees the freedom they need to be productive and get their work done with minimal friction. Striking this balance between security and usability is the primary responsibility of security engineering at TGS.

The security team works with a number of technologies, such as network security monitoring, advanced endpoint protection, logging, and data analytics. Our responsibilities are broad, including our multiple data centers, cloud-based systems, desktop workstations, and mobile devices.

The individual filling this role will be a key technical contributor to our IT and security efforts across our offices and data centers. This will involve planning and strategic decision making as well as implementation and execution of strategies, and regular interaction with senior leadership of the firm.

Skills & Experience

We are seeking to hire an engineer with diverse IT and security knowledge who also has deep expertise in a handful of subtopics.

Must haves:

3+ years of professional security or Windows system engineering experience

Expertise in recent versions of Windows client and server operating systems

Experience managing Active Directory

Proficiency with recent versions of Linux

Familiarity with network design, network management, and firewalls

Nice to haves:

Computer science or information systems degree

Experience with Windows system deployment technologies

Software development/scripting in one or more languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell)

Experience with threat intelligence, security analysis, penetration testing, or threat hunting

Exposure to digital forensics and incident response (DFIR)

Experience with vulnerability management and patching

Hands-on experience with VMware

Hands-on experience with SplunkIT (Windows, Linux, networking)
