Senior Director, Information Security


As a company working in the health industry, making sure we are secure and HIPAA compliant is critically important. We are looking for a Senior Director of Information Security to help build and oversee a team responsible for maintaining the safety and security of Alma’s assets and the welfare of Alma’s employees. Reporting to the CTO, this person will work with the rest of the business and technical leaders across the company to help define and implement Alma’s information security strategy, policies, and standards. 


What you’ll do:



  • Work with leadership to create and manage Alma’s security strategy, priorities and roadmap.

  • Work cross functionally with Alma’s council to define and implement Alma’s security policies and compliance strategies. 

  • Work with people operations leadership to ensure employees, both technical and non-technical, are receiving security training and following best practices. 

  • Work with engineering leadership to help define and drive security software improvements in both our infrastructure and application security technologies.

  • Manage, lead and grow a strong diverse multi-disciplinary team focused on security Alma’s employees, members, and information.

  • Be a strong motivating voice that drives a culture of security for the organization.


Who you are:



  • You have 7-10 years of experience in technical security, with 5+ years of combined leadership and people management.

  • You have a demonstrable history of managing an organization’s information security function.

  • You’ve previously led and/or managed a team of four or more reports.

  • You are a coach, a mentor, and an advocate to managers and individual contributors of different seniority levels and expertise.

  • You possess a clear and engaging communication style with a track record of building positive relationships across a broad diverse organization.

  • You can comfortably communicate technical details with people outside of your department.

  • You feel a passion for Alma's mission – to improve the experience of therapy for providers and their clients, and simplify access to care.

Salary Band: $240,000 - $260,000
