Location: Remote 

Our client is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to join the Rapid Sustainment Office AGORA project. The proposed salary range for this position is $120,000-$137,000. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Implement the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process for various classified and unclassified systems to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the environments to secure an Authority To Operate (ATO). 
  • Prepare all documentation required to gain an authority to operate (ATO) approval. 
  • Create and lead the execution of cyber security POA&Ms to capture and mitigate system vulnerabilities. 
  • Work and communicate with the Government cyber customers to facilitate timely submittal of all cyber security related artifacts. 
  • Manage tools used to scan the network for vulnerabilities.   
  • Use a host of software products used to perform cyber security administrator functions including ArcSight, HBSS, and ACAS. 
  • Mediate between developers, program managers and Cyber security officials to gain system ATOs while meeting cost and schedule goals as primary objectives.   
  • Perform cyber threat analysis and reporting. 
  • Ensure security testing and evaluations are completed and documented.   
  • Provide guidance for securing information systems, and support information security assessments.   
  • Provide direct support as a technical representative for ensuring security is integrated throughout the lifecycle of systems. 
  • Knowledge of common enterprise security devices and tools.   
  • Recent (within 2 years) experience with securing DevSecOps or CI/CD environment ATOs. 
  • Experience with Microsoft and Linux operating systems. 
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of eMASS Cyber security management system and compile and enter artifacts into eMASS. 
  • Provides documentation/project tracking and management reporting 
  • Exercise vigilance in emerging threats while assessing necessary actions through IAVM’s 
  • Reports to the Director of Cybersecurity 

  • KEY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Clearance: Secret 
  • Years of Experience: 7 years Cybersecurity experience 
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (see below) 
  • Bachelor’s degree should be in IS Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Degree is negotiable based on experience. 
  • DOD 8140 (8570) IAM Level I (CAP, CND, Cloud+, GSLC, Security+ or HCISPP)

  • ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5 years RMF process experience 
  • Must be a U.S. citizen 
  • Must have experience consulting directly with miliary customers 
  • Project management certification (Project+, PMP, etc) preferred   
  • Must have experience with NIST SP 800-37, SP 800-53, AFI 17.101 
  • Must have experience implementing and reviewing DISA STIGs
