The Opportunity

As macOS  (Security Researcher), you will be contributing to Kandji’s expansion into the XDR space. Your input will be crucial to the success of our strategic mission to build an industry-leading product that provides the most consistent, reliable, and effective security experience to our customers. You’ll collaborate with product managers, engineering, solutions, and other stakeholders to contribute to innovative solutions to modern security problems. This role is an opportunity to join and influence industry-leading security solutions and leading thinking in the security industry.

Responsibilities
  • We are looking for an experienced Security Researcher to help secure our customer's macOS devices by reverse engineering mobile malware, exploring and implementing mitigations and detections, and writing technical papers.
  • As a macOS Security Researcher, you will be expected to maintain and further our understanding of the current mobile threat landscape, by analyzing new malware, exploring vulnerabilities on the system, and understanding current exploitation trends. As a member of the threat intelligence team, you will have the opportunity to translate your research findings into impactful detection and prevention for our Mobile solution.
  • You will also be expected to write technical papers and articles ranging from different topics, such as translations of your research findings, or detailing current, new, and upcoming mitigations (and their impact) implemented on macOS. Lastly, attending conferences representing Kandji as our iOS Security Expert.

  • Qualifications
  • Knowledge of macOS internals

  • Vulnerability Research experience, against macOS.

  • Experience breaking malware down, including understanding obfuscation and evasion techniques used

  • Understanding of the modern threat landscape, including current exploits, primitives, and trends
  • Knowledge of security frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to listen, adapt and influence are essentials
  • Familiarity with Git, Jira, and Confluence tool-stacks

  • Strong knowledge and experience in facilitation, continuous improvement, empowerment, transparency, and empathy
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to properly translate and articulate positioning and technology
