We are looking for a new Safety and Security Lead to join our Weekend Shift HEYDUDE team in Las Vegas! 

The Safety and Security Lead works with leadership, supervisors, and associates to support and enforce policies that protect all associates and keep the work environment safe and compliant.  The Safety and Security Lead conducts inspections, supports accident investigations, facilitates training, and helps define the safety culture of the organization.  Safety and Security Lead also ensure that safety-related training records, accident reports and other documents are completed and filed appropriately.

The successful candidate will be a driven, solutions based, self-starter, and must demonstrate an ability to cultivate trust and confidence while influencing change through comprehensive risk assessments, shrink data analysis and safety assessments. They will be the driving force to ensure the facility is maintained in accordance with OSHA requirements, as well as supporting and enforcing policies that ensure a safe and compliant workplace.

This position is open for weekend shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6:00am - 6:30pm.  

What you'll do:

• Influence behavior and inspire commitment on the part of all personnel in complying with HEYDUDE safety standards and maintaining a safe work environment


• Conduct training and coach associates on observed work habits in support of this effort


• Implement and enforce all OSHA and warehouse rules and regulations


• Engage associates to build and maintain an integrated safety culture


• Conduct behavioral safety, 5S, & general safety observations


• Conduct periodic safety and health walk-through inspections of all workplace facilities


• Assist with periodic safety and other required training


• Continually add value to training material through comprehensive evaluation


• Assist with accident/injury/near miss response and investigations


• Assist with investigations into employee inquiries, suggestions and complaints


• Assist managing safety equipment and PPE


• Assist with site emergency drills and monitor associate response and readiness


• Maintain required safety and health documents, files, and reports


• Lead shift specific safety committee


• Perform other duties as assigned

What you'll need:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related field or bachelor’s degree in related field preferred


• Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office


• Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment and associate focus skills


• Ability to analyze accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential safety concerns and conduct job hazard and job safety analysis


• Able to maintain confidentiality in matters involving personnel issues


• Available to work flexible shifts including days, nights and/or weekends

Additional:

• Experience in Workers Comp case management
