What we’re hiring for:  

We are a growing fintech organization looking to add an Information Security Manager to our Security Team based in Australia.

Role Overview: 

The Information Security Manager is a hands-on information security position, working in a security sensitive, hybrid cloud environment. This role will assist the Director of Information Security in delivering the Information Security Management System across the organization and working with our internal and external parties. 

Strong candidates will bring an understanding of common technical security controls, compliance requirements, risk management, third party engagement and control implementation to ensure the ongoing security of critical assets in a 24/7 environment. 

What you’ll be responsible for in this role:  

• Support all aspect of our ISMS, including risk management, governance and control implementation 


• Provide oversight of our critical security infrastructure technologies, including NIDS/HIDS, IPS, and vulnerability scanning 


• Perform policy compliance reviews of critical infrastructure, including account management, patching, firewall rules, etc. 


• Assist with maintaining security documentation including policies, procedures, and configuration standards 


• Participate in infrastructure design reviews and the change management process 


• Collaborate with the security analysts on SIEM activity for all environments, including production, DR, development and corporate environments 


• Work with various external third parties including our external auditors and third party suppliers  


• Assist in our client engagements acting as security SME and completing security assessments 


• Occasional out-of-hours work is required 

What experiences and skills are necessary to be successful in this role:  

Mandatory 

• 5+ years' experience with a primary focus in Information Security 


• Formal security certification, or working towards certification 


• Knowledge and application of security industry standards such as ISO27001, NIST, PCI-DSS 


• Good understanding of security capabilities available in Linux, Windows, and AWS Cloud Computing environments 


• Strong communications skill, written and verbal 


• Good understanding of network security tools such as firewalls and NIDS 

Desirable 

• Security experience working in Hybrid Cloud environments 


• Previous security work with PCI DSS compliant environment
