About the job
This position is needed to lead a high impact security operations team focused on protecting Twilio personnel, corporate sites and assets in the NAMER region. As part of the Corporate Security Operations team, you will manage the strategy, development, and implementation of physical security operational programs, technology and personnel. This position will be based remotely in the United States and will report to Twilio’s Senior Manager of Global Corporate Security Operations.
The Corporate Security Operations team is vital to the Twilio security and safety program. We work closely with every Twilion in every location to ensure a safe work environment and a prepared workforce. The goal is to create and scale consistency across corporate security programs that deliver effective and innovative solutions to minimize risk to our rapidly growing business. They also have:
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Manage overall corporate security programs to protect Twilio staff and corporate workplaces in the AMERICAs region
- Oversee all physical security leads based regionally, and physical security operations for all corporate facilities, including the management of contracted security providers, alignment of physical security strategies customized by location, management of incidents, and mitigation of potential threats
- Collaborate with cross functional managers to develop and implement facility security best practices and coordinate, plan, and communicate with partners to proactively identify, mitigate, and manage risks to corporate facilities
- Collaborate with the Twilio Corporate Security Technology team to advise on requirements for and implementation of physical and technical security systems at corporate locations
- Develop and conduct security education for employees and contract security
- Provide support, mentoring, and leadership of regionally-based team members
- Strengthen external partnerships with local and state law enforcement, federal agencies, third party vendors and community organizations

Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred) in business, security, or a related field and/or 8yrs+ of experience with increasing scope, responsibility, and complexity at a multinational company (combined public/private sector experience considered)
- Experience leading security logistics for large scale events
- Ability to identify, analyze, and explain the present or future needs for proposed security initiatives to senior management
- Comfortable leading large cross functional initiatives, and collaborating with management from Legal, HR, Facilities, Safety and IT
- General understanding of security systems technology and their capabilities
- Experience conducting risk and vulnerability assessments and operational security design/planning
- Willing and able to travel to any of the Twilio facilities sites and work flexible off-hours and weekends as required.
Desired:
- Experience in Law Enforcement, Military, or Corporate Security
- PSP, PSC, or other physical security certifications
Location
This role will be remote, and based in the USA.
Approximately 10% travel is anticipated.

Colorado applicants:
- The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is $99,360 - $124,200.
- Non-Sales: Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
