You will be responsible for managing the SAP Role Administration and Security team.  You will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of SAP Role Administration functions across the SAP landscape within the Protective Life organization.  This individual will work in partnership IT resources, business leaders, stakeholders, the SAP cross functional team and end users to successfully strategize, implement, test, and support the SAP S/4 HANA systems. Protective Life uses SAP S/4HANA v2020 and several other SAP products in a cross-functional team approach.

The ideal candidate desires to/would be expected to: 
-          Lead support and manager of the SAP Security and Role Administration team
-          Manage and support the SAP GRC solutions and other SAP Role Administration activities including design, configuration, and maintenance of Roles and Authorizations
-          Support SAP implementation projects, addressing any Role Administration requirements
-          Ability to assess risks related to SAP Role Administration and Security within the SAP environment and develop effective controls
-          Ability to work with business to understand their requirements and develop solutions to meet their needs
-          Self-driven ability to understand, uncover, resolve, and recommend options to solve complex business issues with technology solutions
-          Ability to take ownership and lead projects in agile, waterfall, and hybrid techniques with minimal guidance  
-          Act as a resource for colleagues, training and sharing knowledge with others

-          Management of routine audit control functions related to Role Administration and Security
-          Cross Training Support for other SAP S/4 HANA Cross-functional team
-          Other duties as assigned 

Required Experience:
  • 5+ years of applicable SAP GRC, Role Administration & Security experience (finance/insurance preferred), including project work with a high level of complexity
  • Experience with SAP S/4 HANA security and authorizations
  • 3-5 years of SAP experience within a large organization implementing and supporting
  • GRC solutions
    Roles for Fiori
    SOD development and ongoing controls
    Role administration across multiple landscapes  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Information Technology
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Experience working with IT systems, developers and business analysts during project implementation and testing stages
  • Experience writing functional/technical specifications
  • Knowledge of finance business processes and linkage to finance and non-finance systems
  • Strong skills in solving problems, analyzing data, prioritizing work
  • Ability to acquire new skills and adapt quickly
  • Demonstrated communication skills as well as the ability to work with multiple teams / time zones

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • SAP S/4 HANA version 2020 or later
  • Experience with SAP security and roles administration related to:
  • SAP Fiori
    SAP CUA – Central User Administration
    SAP Analytics Cloud
    SAP FSCD
    SAP FPSL
  • SAP Certifications - S/4 GRC, or S/4HANA Fiori System Administration
  • Working in an agile environment utilizing user stories, minimum-viable product, and proto-typing
  • Insurance Accounting, Finance, or related experience
  • Protective’s targeted salary range for this position is $87,000 to $135,000. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective’s total compensation package for employees.
    This position also offers additional incentive opportunities [through an annual incentive based on individual and Company performance] OR [through cash compensation as part of a sales incentive plan (SIP).
