Key Role: Analyze and manage network vulnerabilities and identify and eliminate risks on DOD enterprise and subscriber networks, systems, applications and related assets. Analyze network and host vulnerability scan data, conduct network security audits and instruction or penetration tests and events. Maintain awareness of receipt and acknowledgement of Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) notifications. Identify and manage open and unauthorized TCP ports and protocols based on the Category Assurance List (CAL). Coordinate and communicate with System Owners, System Administrators, Application Developers, and other IT Support groups to monitor strategic communications for authorized service interruptions (ASI) and other approved maintenance windows. Develop the process, procedure, and document reviews, including standard operating procedures (SOP) and tactics, work instructions, techniques, and procedures (TTP). Conduct written assessment with recommendations based on the Capability Maturity Model (CMM) and generate vulnerability trending, analysis, and compliance reports and present results to senior leaders and appropriate governance forums. Basic Qualifications: -1+ years of experience with vulnerability analysis and risk management -Knowledge of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) SP 800-53 for unclassified systems -Ability to produce technical documents -Ability to manage multiple assignments, adjust priorities, and meet deadlines based on mission requirements -Secret clearance -BA or BS degree -DoD 8570 IAT II or IAM II Certification Additional Qualifications: -Experience with creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or similar deliverables -Ability to develop effective working relationships that improve the quality of work products -Possession of excellent oral and written technical communication skills -Top Secret clearance preferred -BA or BS degree in CS, MIS, or other related technical field -DoD 8570 IAT III or IAM III Certification Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
